At the Puss in Boots you will undertake a traineeship that will provide you with the opportunity to learn valuable skills in customer service and food hygiene. Working as part of a friendly team you will experience gaining work skills in a front facing, customer service role. You will also learn basic cooking skills and barista skills.

Traineeship details

Working in what can be a fast-paced  environment you will employ customer service skills and will gain the ability to work with a variety of people in a front facing role.

You will learn the skills required to work to a high level regarding the preparation and service of food to the highest standard.

You will also learn the importance of health and hygiene in this working environment on a practical level. 

Duties include:

  • Taking customer orders and payments
  • Preparing and serving food
  • Cleaning and tidying work areas, equipment and coffee machines
  • Preparing and service hot beverages 

This Traineeship work experience is part of an education and training programme that is focused on giving young people the skills and experience that employers are looking for. At its core is the Work Preparation training, English and maths for those who need it, and a high quality work experience placement.

Training to be provided

This Traineeship opportunity includes work preparation training, Functional Skills maths and English support for those who require it and a high quality work experience placement.

About traineeships

A traineeship is a course with work experience that gets you ready for work or an apprenticeship. It can last up to 12 months.
You can apply if you’re:

  • eligible to work in England
  • unemployed and have little or no work experience
  • aged 16 to 24 and qualified below Level 4

You’ll get:

  • a work experience placement
  • help with English and maths (if you need it)

You won’t be paid, but you may be given expenses for things like travel and meals.
