If you'd like to be part of a fun and friendly office-based team, this could be the role for you!

To help fund our valuable services at Together Trust, we receive donations of stock from companies and individuals, including food items, clothes, toys, and seasonal gifts such as Easter Eggs. To be able to sell these items and make the most of their potential income through gift aid, we need volunteers to help us sort them and update our computer-based stock records.  By volunteering in this role you will be helping to make sure that we make the most of every donation, as well as gaining some great administration experience. 

As a Volunteer Donations Assistant you will:

  • sort donated food, clothes, or other items into different boxes / areas as instructed
  • search online for items that have been donated to find their recommended retail price
  • take screenshots of products found online
  • update an Excel spreadsheet with the item details, such as supplier and price.

We are looking for a volunteer who is available during office hours on Mondays, to join our fundraising team in our central office in Cheadle, near Stockport.  If you would like to, there will also be plenty of opportunities to get involved with one-off events, such as our donate and declutter events.  No particular experience required, although we need somebody who will be confident in entering details into our spreadsheet and can work fairly independently (though you won't be on your own).
