Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs the Business and Accountancy Apprentice, you will be asked to:
  • Verify, input, save and approve employee expense claims
  • Review, sign, return and input contracts/assignments
  • Add new employees/clients to the database
  • New client company administration
  • Scan, distribute and deal with daily departmental post
  • Chase outstanding documents from new employees before their first payment
  • Collect timesheets/raise invoices
  • Sending all payslips to employees in agreed format
  • Understand the Sapphire brand and provide the service promise


Qualifications Required

Minimum of 5 GSCEs Grade A* - B (9 - 6) Maths and A*- C (9 - 4) in English are required


Skills Required

  • Excellent communication skills (Written and Oral)
  • IT literate - Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), knowledge of Sage/accounting software would be desirable but not essential
  • Time management and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Problem solving and Interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to develop and learn new skills


Future Prospects

For the right candidates, a full time permanent role may be available upon completion of the Business Administration Apprenticeship, which is a highly recognised and transferable qualification.


Training Provided

Our training provider is one of the leading Business Administration training providers in the North West. A tutor will come to the workplace and work with you on a one - to - one basis, and help you towards completing you Level 3 advanced Business Administration qualification.
