Become a Stockport Community Champion and use your connections and interest in people to help your community recover from the impact of COVID-19 and improve people’s health and wellbeing. Share the latest Public Health information and help local people find out about support available in Stockport. Find out what people and communities need to help them recover and feed it back to shape our services in the future
Join our network of Community Champions in Stockport, and you will receive the latest information and support to help you in your role from other Community Champions and Champion organisations.
This initiative is a partnership between VCFSE organisations, Stockport Council and Health partners- we are all working together to promote the Community Champion role and volunteering opportunities.
Volunteer Role
You will be asked to attend a 1-2 hour informal introductory session, Community Champions Essentials, which is currently being held via Zoom.
You will be asked to sign and agree to abide by a code of conduct.
How to get involved: Check if the organisation you work/volunteer for is a Champion Organisation (e.g. Age UK, SREP, Pure Innovations) as you will be able to join through them.
If you are not part of one of the Champion organisations, please sign up at the following link, and say that you want to be a Stockport Community Champion:
