A fantastic opportunity has arisen here at Totally Local Company as a Construction Team Leader in our Highways team. The main purpose of the role will be to lead an operational team in delivering minor civil engineering projects to predetermined plans, specifications, timescales and budgets. 

Duties and Responsibilities

You are required to lead an Operational team in delivering minor civil engineering projects to predetermined plans, specifications, timescales and budget, planning materials deliveries and controlling site safety.
 
We need experienced individuals to lead one of our teams carrying out reconstruction work to Stockport’s highways and footways, ideally you will have worked in a team, be self-motivated and be proficient in the following areas
 
You are also required to safely carry out repairs and improvements to a variety of built environment infrastructure such as modular paving, kerb installation, bituminous macadam laying, concreting, pipe laying, hard and soft landscaping including drainage repair, excavation and shoring.
 
You are required to be aware of and have working knowledge and application of design drawings, specifications and civil engineering techniques.
 
 
Also you are to ensure safe methods of working are adhered to through the use of personal protective equipment, correct manual handling and the use of small plant/equipment such as excavators, roller/breaker, compactors, dumpers, motorised circular saws and other highways related equipment and also to apply and abide by Health & Safety at Work Act, Road Traffic Act and apply safe methods of working to all activities.
