Vintage Café Tea Rooms is a newly managed café in Bredbury, Stockport. We have a small, friendly team and are now looking for a reliable, experienced Cook to deliver a high standard of hot and cold food and run our busy kitchen.

Job Overview:
£10.42 per hour (reviewed after 4 weeks)
Full-time or Part-time, Permanent
Open 6 days a week (closed Weds)
Shifts would be 8.30am - 4.30pm – must be available to work weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing the food for cooking
- Ensuring meals and orders go out in a timely manner
- Following and creating new recipes
- Reviewing the menu and doing inventory
- Ordering food for the kitchen
- Monitoring food production and food costs
- Training staff
- Ensuring standard portions and quality of dishes
- Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen and ensuring sanitation practices in the kitchen
About You:
You will need:
- Previous experience as a chef or cook
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen utensils and equipment
- Good working knowledge of culinary and baking techniques
- Ability to remain calm and work in a busy environment
- Time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively as part of a team
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including food hygiene
- Relevant qualifications would be an advantage
