About the Kickstart Scheme:

Westpoint Recruitment are delighted to be offering Marketing Assistant Kickstart Placement for young people to help them kick start their careers in the recruitment industry and gain invaluable skills and experience.

The Kickstart Scheme is a programme specifically designed to help young people currently claiming Universal Credit and who are looking for an entry level position in a professional role and environment. For your application to be accepted you need to be currently claiming Universal Credit, committed to 25 hours of work a week and between the age of 16 and 24 years old. Interested applicants should speak directly to their Work Coach to discuss the opportunity further.


Job Purpose: 

The Marketing Assistant will aid the Marketing Executive in daily activities such as scheduling and sending emails, social media posts, preparing for webinars and any other adhoc duties. They will have the opportunity to participate in all functions of marketing including copywriting, graphic design, videography and more.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support the Marketing Manager where required

  • Liaise between departments within the business on marketing matters

  • Assist with organising and setting up events

  • Aid in scheduling posts for social and email marketing

  • Help grow our online community


Knowledge, Skills & Experience: 

  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Creative mindset for problem solving and solutions

  • Passion for marketing
  • A desire to grow and learn


Personal Development Programme: 

  • Content creation skills (premier pro, photoshop, canva & more)
  • Experience working to marketing deadlines
  • Knowledge of email marketing and social media best practices
  • Experience managing large databases and online communities
  • IT skills
  • Commercial B2B & B2C experience and market knowledge
