We are currently looking for a Mental Health Recovery Support Worker to join our passionate team in Woodley, Stockport.
We are looking for warm, caring and proactive individuals to provide person centred support to people with mental health needs in Stockport. As a mental health recovery support worker will be responsible for providing practical and emotional support to individuals, supporting them to gain skills and coping mechanisms to be able to live as independently as possible.

No two days are the same! We support people to the cinema, help with budgeting and planning and be there when needed.

Recovery Support Worker Duties:

• Provision of practical, emotional and behavioural support to service users,
• A commitment to making a positive difference in individuals’ lives,
• Develop and sustain warm and trusting relationships with service users,
• Carry out general administrative duties and housing management tasks,
• Provide support to individuals with cooking, cleaning, housework and budgeting,
• Developing meaningful activity, occupation and routine in agreement with individuals,
• Shift patterns include 9-5, 10-6 or 11-7,
• You will not be required to do sleep in shifts at this service and weekend work is on a rota basis.

Previous support experience is essential for this role. A driving licence is not essential but the ideal candidate must be willing to use public transport around Woodley and the wider Stockport area.
