About our client:

Our client is a business to business, time-critical and mission-critical delivery company based in Warrington WA3 providing UK wide direct van and HGV services to their clients. 

Starting life in 2005 as a bootstrap startup with a Princes Trust loan and one van. Today they’re a leading North West and National same day courier service trusted by some of the UK’s biggest businesses to deliver when others can't. 

They’ve had a great journey over the last 17 years with continued organic growth and have the vision to grow the business even further across the North West and beyond. Because of this, they have an opportunity for a Sales & Marketing Manager to join their winning team and help drive more success.

About the Sales and Marketing Manager role:

This is a newly created, rewarding senior management role and you will be responsible for recruiting, developing, and managing an indoor sales team with the objective of hitting annual new business targets.

You’ll also oversee the account management processes to ensure our clients are happy with the service being provided and maximising spend from our client base. 

You’ll have full accountability for the team’s performance as department head and you’ll also own the company marketing calendar ensuring the business remains front of mind for clients and prospects working with both internal and external support.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll be a key member of the senior management team and be involved in development work around the business plan, culture, and growth. 

You’ll ideally be a resilient, self-starter who is a team player with a coaching style of management and enjoy building relationships with new clients and key account customers alike. 

As well as previous sales team management experience in a Logistics / B2B environment, you’ll need to have excellent verbal communication skills and IT skills. 

Your Contract on starting:

Salary £35K to £40K + bonus

You’ll receive a competitive benefits package including a quarterly bonus for hitting your numbers. 

The role is office-based and will be 0830 - 1730 Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch.

You will also be provided with on-the-job training on all aspects of the business, working from the head office near Culcheth, which provides a comfortable working environment with free parking on site.
