Location: Romiley, Stockport | Salary: Expenses only
We are looking for a friendly individual with gardening know-how who would like to help us transform and maintain the garden at our short break service in Romiley, Stockport, for children and young people with learning and/or physical disabilities and sensory impairments.
The children and young people who come to stay with us enjoy a variety of activities while they are here, and we would love to be able to make better use of our garden. It is a neat and tidy garden, consisting of new turf and hedges, but has the potential to become much more! If you have gardening skills, a friendly attitude, and are confident to be around children with complex needs, you could be just the person we are looking for to transform it! We have ideas around creating a herb garden and using flowers and different textured plants to stimulate the senses of the children and young people we support. We would also hope for our volunteer gardener to help with little projects such as supporting the children and young people with planting seeds such as sunflowers to see them grow.
We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and with all different kinds of life experiences.
If you would like to become our volunteer gardener, please apply or feel free to get in touch at email@example.com / 0161 283 4882 for more information.
