Volunteer Newspaper Delivery
Volunteers required to deliver the Heatons Post newspaper, a monthly, not-for-profit, community newspaper for the Heatons & Reddish which shares useful information for the local area as well as positive news stories, information on community groups, council news etc.
Since September 2020, the Heatons Post newspaper have increased their publishing from 6,000 copies to 10,000 copies each month. They have been distributing stocks of the Heaton’s Post to local businesses for members of the community to pick up, as well as some door-to-door deliveries organised by local community groups. The Heaton’s Post are now looking for volunteers to help with distribution to more households throughout the Heatons & Reddish areas of Stockport.
Door-to-door delivery of Heatons Post. Time: Delivery can take place any time/day throughout the month covering the issue being delivered.
Each issue is delivered from the printer around the 1st of each month.
No. of hours: Delivery can be completed at a time that suits the volunteer and should take no more than 1-2 hours each month.
Currently, volunteers deliver between 100 and 300 copies door to door.
The Heaton’s Post are looking for volunteers willing to deliver to houses within Heaton Chapel and Reddish initially, but should a volunteer like to deliver to another area of the Heatons, this is welcomed too. The newspapers are currently delivered to an address in Heaton Chapel, where they can be collected from, or supplies can be dropped off to volunteers at their home address.
Volunteers can now deliver to their own/surrounding streets, so if residents do not currently receive a copy of Heaton’s post through their door and they would like to deliver to their own street, then we can bring them a supply each month.
