Generation seeks to close the skills gap for disadvantaged young people aged 18-29 by running free training programmes. They tackle youth unemployment by offering guaranteed interviews to all programme graduates to build thriving, sustainable careers in a field of their choice.
Become a Data Engineer
Data is one of the fastest growing areas in tech. With career paths leading to AI< machine learning and Big Data, now is a great time to join this sector.
On this free 12 week bootcamp, you’ll be provided with the perfect launchpad. You’ll learn the key technical and employment skills you need, and you’ll be matched with hiring employers at the end.

The start date is 24th August and the course is delivered remotely Mon to Fri 9am-5pm. Anyone aged 18-29 can apply, as long as you’re not currently working more than 16 hours per week and not in education or training. You must live in Greater Manchester and be available for 12 weeks from August. You should be able to demonstrate you’re interested in coding and be ready to start a full-time job straight after the course.

Get into Tech with AWS re/Start
AWS re/Start is a free 12 week bootcamp where you’ll learn everything you need to become a Cloud Support Practitioner – from the technical skills and coding languages to the key employment skills that will help you excel in the job.
At the end of the programme, Generation will connect you with employers hiring for cloud and devops engineer roles, support you through your application and help you transition into your working life. This programme is run in partnership with Amazon Web Services and Prince’s Trust.

Anyone aged 18-29 can apply, as long as you’re not currently in education, training or stable employment. You’ll need to be available for 12 weeks from August and ready to start a full time job straight after the course. You should be excited to launch a career in tech and able to get to central Manchester every day.
