List your Kickstart Job
The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to employers to create job placements for 16 to 24 year olds.
You can use the Kickstart Scheme to create new 6-month job placements for young people who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment. The job placements should support the participants to develop the skills and experience they need to find work after completing the scheme.
Funding is available for 100% of the relevant National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a week, plus associated employer National Insurance Contributions and employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions. There is also £1,500 per job placement available for set-up costs, support and training.
If you are an employer looking to create job placements for young people, you can check whether you are eligible to apply for funding as part of the Kickstart Scheme. If you are looking to recruit more than 30 job placements, you can apply online directly. If you are unable to offer this many job placements, you can partner with Stockport Council as an employer representative to reach this minimum number.
Please complete the form below with an overview of the Kickstart Job work placement you plan to create and a member of the team from Stockport Council will contact you to explain more about how the scheme works.
