Mental Health Support from Stockport & District Mind

 

Stockport Mind offer friendly, accessible support and information to people in mental distress (and mental health Carers), and work with others to promote wellbeing in the local community.

Stockport Mind are part of a national federated network of Mind organisations.

About Stockport & District Mind

The charity which became Stockport & District Mind was founded in 1971, meaning the organisation has fifty years of experience supporting the local community around mental health.

Current services and projects include:

  • A helpline service, which includes information and signposting 
  • A mental health Carers support service
  • An isolation and social engagement service, creating connections and alleviating loneliness 
  • Social groups 
  • Awareness-raising activities 
  • Interactions with a range of local businesses, organisations, partner services and groups 
  • The development of projects to support employer and employee wellbeing 
  • Partnership work as ‘Mind in Greater Manchester’, a partnership of five local Minds across Greater Manchester
