Latest Princes Trust Training Courses in Manchester
The Princes’ Trust are continuing to offer a mix of online and in-person courses in Manchester to help young people take their next steps. This month they’ll be running a range of courses listed below.
To take part in the online courses, young people will need a computer or smartphone. For in-person courses, a range of measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of young people and staff taking part.
Courses for October
Starts Tuesday 6th October
Duration: Two days a week for four weeks
For 16-25 year olds
Online and in-person at our Manchester centre
This course combines online learning and face-to-face sessions at our Manchester centre in Ancoats. We will focus on improving your key skills such as confidence, team work and communication whilst helping you make the next step in your life through a range of fun and engaging activities.

How to Hack an Interview and Get a Job
Wednesday 14th October
Duration: 1pm – 5pm
For 16-30 year olds
How to Hack an Interview and Get a Job is a four-hour session to help young people aged 16-30 prepare for job applications and interviews. It’s an interactive discussion, followed by mock interview coaching, all delivered by the experts.
Our support doesn’t end with the workshop; we’ll follow up with you two weeks after the event to reflect on what you have learnt and keep you on-track with your next steps.

Wednesday 14th & Thursday 15th October
Duration: Two days full-time
For 18-30 year olds
In-person at our Manchester Centre, Ancoats
Future Leaders is a personal development programme for 18-30-year-olds who are not in education, training or employment, or who are underemployed. The two-day programme is based around the idea that leadership starts from within, and is designed to help you understand what makes a good leader, to identify your own strengths, and to build your confidence. This course will be delivered in-person at our Manchester centre.

Get Started with Radio with Reform Radio
Monday 26th – Friday 30th October
Duration: One week full-time
For Looked after children aged 16-18 only
We’ve partnered with Reform Radio to bring you this online course supported by BBC Children in Need. You’ll learn how to design, develop and produce a radio show by the end of the week.
The course will include:
- Take part in exciting and fun tasks with the aim of preparing for a radio show
- Work with a team of professional DJs and artists
- Meet new people, gain confidence, teamwork and communication skills
- Create podcasts throughout the week and create a pre-recorded show to be aired on the final day
Receive three months of support after completing the course to help you move onto further training, education or employment.

Duration: 60 minutes of 1-2-1 mentoring
for 6 months
For 16-30 year olds
Our one-to-one mentoring programme is now open to 16-30 year olds:
- We’ll match you with a trained mentor who will help to motivate you and support you in making informed choices in education, employment, wellbeing and beyond.
- Mentoring will be tailored to your circumstances, so you’ll set goals together and your mentor will provide advice and guidance to help you achieve them.
- You’ll have weekly one-hour sessions with your mentor for six months.
Your mentoring sessions are completely flexible, so you can schedule them at a time that suits you.

Duration: One hour
For 16-25 year olds
Explore Wellbeing is a weekly programme for 16-25 year olds. This online course will provide tips and examples on how to maintain your mental and physical wellbeing from the comfort of your home. Join us for a one-hour session and get involved in a different topic every session.
