Birchcroft, Crowthorne Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL7 0DH every Thursday from 1pm – 4pm

Feel free to drop in for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat about upcoming activities and the support available – we’d love to see you.

As well as a range of group events and activities, our friendly team are on-hand to provide person-centred, one-to-one support so you can pursue your ambitions and goals.

You’ll work with a dedicated member of the team who, as well as providing general support, coaching and mentoring, can offer tailored support such as CV writing, finding new learning opportunities and signposting to other things happening in your neighbourhood.


Join in an activity

We’re hosting a range of activities from community spaces in Stockport and Tameside which eligible participants can take part in for free.

Many of our activities are also designed specifically for those aged 50+.

These sessions are a great way to meet new people and learn new skills in a safe and relaxed environment.

Sessions include:

  • Therapy and support – including specialist groups for women who have or are experiencing domestic abuse; those with different diagnoses including trauma and addition; armed forces veterans; and a variety of topics including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, stress and many more.
  • Connecting with others and developing new skills – such as our Green Community Hub in Brinnington featuring environmental activities and sustainable workshops; learning to upcycle your clothes with our sewing workshops; food growing and cooking skills; and healthy lifestyle wokshops.
  • Home and Finances – including Groundwork Energy Advisors to provide information on managing your utility bills; benefits and debt advice; money management training; practical financial and digital skills training.
  • Support into Work – including a weekly Job Club; work preparation training; digital and IT skills; CV writing; personal styling, workwear and interview coaching; and financial education training for 19 to 24 year olds.
