If you’re a disabled person or have a long-term health or mental health condition which makes it difficult for you to find and keep work, Working Well: IPSPC can provide you with tailored support and guidance to help you gain long lasting employment.

Your personal Employment Specialist will work with you to identify and remove the barriers you face and develop plans to help you find employment that works for you and easily slots into your life, while being mindful about your health.


What support is available from Working Well: IPSPC?

Through our programme, you will have access to a personal Employment Specialist, who will provide you with rapid job search assistance to help you find employment that works for you and easily slots into your life, while being mindful about your health.

  • Rapid job search which focuses on helping you find the RIGHT job
  • Personalised job search based on the assessment of your skills and abilities
  • Benefits advice
  • CV writing, tailored to specific job goals
  • Self-employment advice
  • Working alongside you and your health professionals to ensure your health is a priority
  • Working closely with you and your employer to help them understand and cater for your needs
  • We can act as an intermediary, contacting the employers you want to work for on your behalf
  • Job interview preparation and advice

Who is Working Well: IPSPC for?

WW:IPSPC is here to work with you to identify and remove the barriers you face and develop plans to help you to gain and keep work. We’re aware that no two clients are the same, and you will be supported in a way that works uniquely for you.

To be eligible for Working Well: IPSPC you will:

  • Have a physical or mental health disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010
  • Be willing to participate in IPSPC to remain in paid work or be willing to find and sustain paid work
  • Not be currently receiving employment support, other than from Job Centre Plus
  • Not be on another DWP employment programme or provision
  • May or may not be in receipt of DWP benefits
  • Be of working age (18+)
  • If already in work, must have been employed for a least 6 months before starting IPSPC and be working a minimum of 7 hours per week
  • Have an entitlement to public funds
