Smart Works Greater Manchester: Free Interview Coaching and Clothing for Women

Smart Works is a UK charity that exists to give women the confidence they need to reach their full potential, secure employment and change the trajectory of their lives.

Smart Works Greater Manchester are part of a national charity and have delivered over 5,000 appointments since opening their Stockport centre in 2015. Supporting more than 4,000 individual women, with 69% succeeding at job interview, they now operate over 2 centres, one in Manchester city centre and one in Stockport.

01. Career Coaching – This is for any unemployed woman looking to secure an interview. We’ll help you with personalised one-to-one coaching from a skilled volunteer coach who will provide you with practical tips and next steps to secure an interview.

02. Interview Preparation – If you’re unemployed with a confirmed interview we can help you feel confident and prepared with a personalised dressing session to find you a high-quality interview outfit, yours to keep. You’ll also receive one-to-one interview coaching with a skilled volunteer coach. (you don’t need to have had career coaching to benefit from our interview preparation service)

03. Second Dressing – On the news that you have been successful at interview, you will be invited back to receive additional items of clothing, all free and to keep, to build up a capsule wardrobe for your new job.
