FAQs – Key Information

Why is Stockport Jobs Match ending?

Stockport Jobs Match was commissioned by Stockport Council and delivered by Grassroots Recruitment. The contract was always due to come to an end on 31 December, after being established during the pandemic, and will not be extended beyond this point.

Given the provision of similar resources in Greater Manchester for employers, jobseekers, young people seeking careers advice and information, to continue the Stockport Jobs Match contract would not be demonstrating the best use of the Council’s resources, particularly at a time when we need to address the many priorities for our citizens and businesses.
